Art Exhibition

Emerging Forms
Eye Piece

Today I saw the inspirational emerging forms at Maiden Erlegh school in the Peacock gallery and the year group that created this was the talented Year 9’s.

There are a variety of colours and it was very different than what I have seen before. The one piece that really caught my “eye” was actually an eye sculpture that had been created by one of the year 9 students. The eye piece was very inspiring and very detailed and for me that stood out for me and it was better than what I had heard it was.

The reason why the eye piece stood out for me was because the design of the eye was really well drawn. The eye shape was paper Mache then surrounded by feathers of a variety of sizes even though they were all black, even though the feathers looked tough to construct onto the eye the year nine pupil made it fit onto it without what it looks like any difficulty.
The eye was very creative and very unusual as you wouldn't expect it to be out into a year 9 GCSE art exhibition but in all fairness the person is an emerging artist in the making and I’m looking forward to seeing what they all will be doing later in the future to come and can’t wait to see.

Art design piece

Here is my design piece of what my finished design should look like this has inspired to look at the flower photos on my Blog. My final design ended up looking like a wing with spikes as i had to tweak the design a bit for me to actually make it work.

The text shows what i needed to say what my design was going to be made out of so i have on there Wire, Cardboard, Felt and Paints but then i didn't need all of it .

Head architecture piece

Here is what i would like my Design to look like: I want it to have a cardboard type headband then bottle caps going around the outside then i would like Paper/Plastic or Sticky bottle labels going around the outside of the hat to show the creative ideas that has been put into this.

This is a rough idea of what i want my head piece to look like.

I got my inspiration from looking at other photos that i had took and uploaded onto my blog so with the little circles i got that from my photos of flowers the head pieces. I thought that it would be a good idea to use it as part of my head piece as it shows how i can move or take part of a picture and then insert it into a complete different thing. At first I thought that it couldn't be done but as i got inspiration from other posts my blog it then became clear as to what i needed to do and how it would be done.

My final piece.

The assement objectives fit into our tasks because we have to develop our ideas and look at other artists. We needed to refine our ideas and use a variety of materials such as Paper sellotape masking tape knives etc.  We also needed to do some observations and record our ideas whether they were Visual or forms that we thought of ourselves. With our final piece we needed to make sure that they had made connections with our themes that we had chosen and the themes we had to choose from are: Natural Forms, Shape and Forms, Mechanical Objects and texture.

Head Architecture

Head Architecture.

This piece of head architecture was made by Philip Treacy.
This inspires me because the feathers make the hat stand out and all the Red makes the white and the black really stand out.

This is a piece of Millinery Head Architecture that was created by Franc Fernandez. This inspires me because of the shapes and the design of the hat with all the different lines on the hat that makes it stand out

I chose this hat because of all the spirals and the detail makes it really stand out from all the others and it makes it look really Bold and unexpected and the artist/ Designer is Philip Treacy the detail of the photo actually links to my theme as it is a type of natural forms and spirals are natural because  people don't associate spirals with other forms

I chose this hat because it sort of looks like a fan and all the little holes make it look like it is a fan. The reason why it looks like a fan is because of the bumpy edges going around the outside.

This hat inspires me because of the design makes it look quite different because its slanted and normal hats are up right and they don't look like this normally hats are upright and they sit on your head without adjusting them

I chose this hat because it looks unusual and this hat looks like a hat the Lady Gaga would were when she does live performances because when she is on stage she makes a bizarre dress sense.

This hat is different from any other hat because at the top of the hat the tip of it is bent over and the reason why this inspires me is because that any other hat would not be bent over and its quite unique

i chose this hat not because its worn by Cheryl Cole its because of the flowers and the wires going all around it and its really mysterious because this hat would be worn at a wedding or a funeral but she worn this hat at a photo shoot so i liked this hat because this hat can be worn to different occasions.

this hat inspires me because of the shapes that are shaped into one big circle shape or an 8 type shape on the head of this person also the golden colors that are on the 8 shape make it stand out and it makes it unique.

This hat design is also made up from this persons hair which is also quite creative and unique because many hats are made up from felt or fabric that make people want to have more of these hats and the more they want the better they will sell

Final piece

My final Blog Post

This is my final post on my blog and in this post here are my final designs.

This is my final piece being worn and the design of it was part of a natural form and a mechanical object. The design of it looks like a cog but it wasn't really designed to be a cog but i decided to leave it as it was because the design looked really good

This is my final design being worn. The design came from a variety of  ideas from my blog and images that  I found on Google then i combined the two images and came up with this.
