Art Exhibition

Emerging Forms
Eye Piece

Today I saw the inspirational emerging forms at Maiden Erlegh school in the Peacock gallery and the year group that created this was the talented Year 9’s.

There are a variety of colours and it was very different than what I have seen before. The one piece that really caught my “eye” was actually an eye sculpture that had been created by one of the year 9 students. The eye piece was very inspiring and very detailed and for me that stood out for me and it was better than what I had heard it was.

The reason why the eye piece stood out for me was because the design of the eye was really well drawn. The eye shape was paper Mache then surrounded by feathers of a variety of sizes even though they were all black, even though the feathers looked tough to construct onto the eye the year nine pupil made it fit onto it without what it looks like any difficulty.
The eye was very creative and very unusual as you wouldn't expect it to be out into a year 9 GCSE art exhibition but in all fairness the person is an emerging artist in the making and I’m looking forward to seeing what they all will be doing later in the future to come and can’t wait to see.
